This device allows blind people a more functional lifestyle

He that hath ears to hear, let him see
This device should have been on the market for years or at least parts of it. I have been unable to get support from an organization that would help me produce this device. The major reason for this might be, that the most technical device that I can find for the blind is a cane. Exactly what century do we live in? Please Help!
The device is not a cane, nor is it a well trained animal or a robot to replace said animal.
It allows the blind to interact with thier world much closer to the way that seeing people do, than they are currently allowed by the cane.
The cure for the blind
I call this device a cure, when in reality, it is simply an augmentation device. Medical science may someday come up with a "cure", but if we have learned anything from history, blindness hasn't been augmented with anything other than trained animals and canes within the last several thousand years, so that is why I refer to this as a "cure" The amount of augmentation that it provides quite literally puts the aforementioned remedies back into the dark ages, no pun intended.
Basically, it's an electronic navigation system, with audio guidance. In other words, the device emitions are inteligently extrapelated, and reproduce in an audio format in the form of directions or warnings. That means, the device uses it's own "sight", to see for the blind person, and gives directions via audion stimulation
Frequencies are emmited (and should be carefully chosen as outside the human visual or audio spectrums, as well as chos en not to interfere with any know "bio-frequ encies/rythms") and recieved in very much the same way as radar or an ultra-sound machine works.
This is the sunglasses version of the device
The sweep range covers all areas in a 360 degree circumference, and "maps" the surrounding area. The data is then sent to the user with the use of an "audio picture"
The area that is being "maped" will contain common suroundings, as all surroundings here on earth, are for the most part very similar. One part of this device has actually been produce, but it post dates my own by years. That piece of the device is the ability to scan bar codes on products, and relay to the user the contents. This is part of the device, though it will be much more convienient when radio tags are prevelant.
For example, a blind person walking down the sidewalk would hear something like "You are on the sidewalk, heading north at 5.8 mph, road is to the left, oncomming traffic equals pickup truck, heading south at 24.6 mph, an intersection is 50 meters ahead, you have reached the intersection, please wait. You are clear to move north through the crosswalk, please wait for west..., You are clear to move west through the cross walk. You are on the sidewalk, heading west at 6.2 mph, road is to the right.
