Yes a newly added inventor's resource now calls this site home! We now have a fully featured inventor's audio and video chat online. This chat has been provided to us by Ian Gormanly who builds these flash chat components. He is currently working on a version that will support up to six live web cams, and the associated audio feeds.
If you want to get a chat like this for your site, please contact Ian through his site at http://www.dundeefastcar.co.uk/ Thanks Ian!
If you have a webcam and microphone, you can use these capabilities. If not, you can still use the conventional side of the chat, the old fashioned way. Typing, typing, and of course, more typing. ;)
This chat basically allows you a free video phone call anywhere in the world. This will mean some very exciting additions to the site indeed...
For starters, I am hoping that we can get a calendar up which will have important inventor's dates on it. These dates should include chat meeting dates and times, so we can all catch each other and get to really talk for an extended period of time about what's going on in the inventor's community.
I have been speaking with the webmasters of http://www.inventorbase.com/, and www.inventorsgarage.com/ who are very interested in collaborating with us here to invoke a world wide network of inventor's resources and sites. It is my hope that we will be able to use this particular available resource as a sort of spring-board to make that happen.
For more information on the collaboration effort, and to find ways you can help out, check out the Collaboration Forum. Here you can also provide your ideas about what would make it work, work better, and again of course how you can help out. Please participate if you can, we would certainly appreciate it.
You do have to be registered at the site to use it, but as always, that's completely free and comes with a Spam Free Guarantee. I will not give your e-mail address to ANY third party, ever, for any reason.
I truly appreciate any feedback you have on this chat applet, and of course feel free to comment about any problems you may experience with it. Again I want to say, thanks to Ian from http://www.dundeefastcar.co.uk/ and if you want one of these on your site, look him up!
That's all for now folks, I hope you enjoy it.
