Jaded Perspective: It's Time for a Boycott

Jaded Persective

When will the point come when societal manipulation will cause anyone to get off their fat asses and actually DO anything? How much is going to be enough? There is nothing wrong with grass roots political action, the problem comes along when we get to the word 'action'. Feeling helpless is not an excuse. Not knowing what to do is simply the easy way out, passing the buck and complaining. We are so conditioned to doing what we are told without question, we pay price -regardless if it is $2.50 for a gallon of gas or $5 for a gallon of milk! Fine, if you want to be told what to do, listen to me. And maybe unearth your own common sense.

Ask yourself, "When will I stop buying gas?" How much is too much? Will you pay $3? $5? I have heard so many people tell me that they simply do not have a choice. Does it make sense to go to work to pay for your gas to go to work? Did you catch that?

Yes you do have a choice! You always have a choice! There are other ways of living! We live in a wonderful time, where information is always just a click away. Instead of using it to help and improve ourselves, we have only allowed it to controll us and make us lazy. Research the alternative fuel options. They are countless. Ethanol, biofuel, electric, do your part to help support the hydrogen fuel movement if you choose. Our lawmakers are PUBLIC SERVANTS, not the other way around. Send them your message, and tell everyone you know to do the same.

Telecommute, search for online jobs. Start your own business and work from home. Take you kids out of daycare and open your home to your friends and neighbors. Write a book, or an e-book about how to do anything you are good at. Make baby boots and sell them on a Yahoo store, it's very affordable. Whatever it is. The point here is STOP FEEDING THE BEAST AND IT WILL DIE! I challenge everyone to stay home from work for a week so you don't have to fill your tank. What would happen? Aren't you curious? I speculate that the prices will go down, simple economics - demand declines, price declines. I must applaud the truck drivers who had the guts to block the freeways, way to go.

"boycott n : a group's refusal to have commercial dealings with some organization in protest against its policies v : refuse to sponsor; refuse to do business with To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with as an expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion. " Websters

Have you noticed what is going on in the world lately? Have you seriously LOOKED? I am PISSED! We should all be pissed! IF YOUR HEAD IS IN THE SAND YOUR ASS IS IN THE AIR! Think about it! You are being used and manipulated on a daily basis. What do you think of that?

yes. its puzzled me how difficult it is to gget humans to help themselves. this sounds patronizing, but when were talking about the problems these people themselves complain about, and you then put somesort of platform together for them, they tend to suddenly dissapear - what are we, children? How hard is it to do something? I dont drive, I walk and use public transport. Not difficult.

But the strange thing is that people don't help themselves when its directly beneficial to them! They, and I believe this is an increasingly modern problem, growing over time, are unable to follow others - we as a society are inter-personally breaking apart. I see this as actually having a root in neuro-psychology, and believe it results from multiple sub-clinical deficiencies of the brain. Yes, and I have some web campaigning on Ican to this end, and have been gathering evidence, that disruption of brain function causes a mild, and at the scale of populations, expanding general anti-socialness - a mass dysfunction. Take Omega 3 fatty acids. Our brain is structurally meant to be at least 20% of them, but no longer due to dietary changes. O3 deficiency is very common, and causes a range of pyschological symptoms, in particular behavioural, mood and learning impairement. Add iodine deficiency, which is now known to cause sub-clinical impairment of mental and physical activity - the potato effect!

How many others? No scientist has yet applied the work showing this mass effect to be true in children and adolescents to the wider population, but mark my words - they will! The evidence is getting stronger that the population at large is subtely brain damaged. Creepy stuff eh?

There is no question that the world's population as a whole has been increasingly "dumbed". It is truly suprising that daily life can commence. Abstract tools have become prevalent, there are only a few daily tasks in which we must actually fire synapses in order to complete. Now, I love technology - but, I truly believe that we need an understanding of the functionality of our world to be whole and productive, not just a waste of oxygen.

Self sufficiency seems to be of a bygone era. Some people actually do cook for themselves, fix their own cars, build their own houses, and proofread their own writing (here's hoping that I havn't provided a bad example of that one).

But, in all fairness, there is so much external influence that it truly could be worse. And I do believe that it is systematically inflicted. Daily, we are bombarded with am incredible amount of EMF from TV, radio, microwave, cell phones and so on and so on. Not to mention the effect that TV exibits on the brain when exposed to prolonged hours.
