Hearing a ghost for the first time is slightly unsettling, however it is also exeedingly interesting. EVP, or electronic voice phenomenon has it's origins with Alexander Grahm Bell. He was said to be working on a device that would allow communication with the dead.
I first heard of EVP whole listening to Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. He was interviewing a couple oif members of the "Gohst Investigator Society" and listening to the EVPs that they had recorded. Some of them are utterly chilling. Children calling "help" Angry male voices barking "Get Out!" and all sorts of unusual recordings can be found on the GIS website http://www.ghostpix.com/
EVPs can be captured just about anywhere, anytime. All you need is a tape recorder, analog or digital will do. Always use a fresh blank tape for analog recordings of course. Some of the most dramatic recordings I have heard are taken in prisons, graveyards etc.
You can find all kinds of resources by doing a Google Search for EVP
If you record an anomaly, please attach the file, and post it! We would love to hear it.
