I come across this on pure accident...

what happen was , in my 95 dodge ram 1500 with a 360 engine with 219,000 miles on it , a gasket on my intake was allowing oil in to what they call a plenum , or barrel intake as others call it , ..... the gasket was plastic going against heat go figure....... Anyways what happen was the botton for the plenum was covered in old dirty oil , dirty do to the air that circulates thru it ,... that oil would get almost like vaporized do to the air ......and then ofcousre went thru the value and to the engine....

What it caused was an increase in my mileage.... I use to get about 450 miles to the tank of gas.... but now however , kick my-self now , I have fixed the gasket and only get 235 miles for a tank of gas .........If I would have known that this was going to happen with fixing something that was not hurting the engine I ofcourse would have not done it .....

It would be worth a test thoo to see what would happen to turn used oil into a vapor mist to add to an engine...if the engine is fuelinjected it would be easy just to buy a noos kit and instead of noss use oil...Just think it really would help with lubing the top of the engine too....

I was thinking of doing this with my truck using a noss system setup , but
my truck has finally seen its last mile cause it is broke down with a head gasket problem .... and I do not have the money to fix it .....

Let me know if anyone has come across this in there dodge , common in 360-318 engines yrs 93-99 , or even if they try the experiment.....
