hi all , name IS Brett , located in PLYMOUTH ( the original one , ya know mayflower, pilgrim fathers and all that stuff , without which , this forum would probably not exist etc etc Laughing

)

any hooo , inveterate garden shed tinkerer, bodger, metal basher, mechanic ( passable one if i say so my self) ,radio ham , ex fire fighter , and a few other things

disabled person , now heavily into the lot of inventing /improving mobility scooters and other aids , re use of stuff for "green/Eco" things ( read save money on power/water etc )

invention record , none patented - waste of time , no one interested , cant afford it , and if someone can make a buck from my ideas well good luck to them ( i will leave the 10% to their conscience , but based on things so far , people don't seem to have one ) , so mainly do things for own use , self satisfaction

full time cynic , hater of political correctness and grumpy old "person" ( yea i read the rules regarding using non PC words so as not to upset the kiddies , who probably know more bad words than me anyway )

resources . limited - very limited

knowledge , wide and varied

do i help people ?. yes providing they ask me in a proper manner

inside leg measurement , er where's my tape measure ??

favorite tools , big hammer and Stiltons , cant be doing with "precision engineering " and my eyesight precludes it these days following a stroke some time back

likes : good basic engineering , simple electronics , and stuff that can be fixed with aforementioned big hammer and Stiltons

dislikes , "experts" of any brand , especially young whippersnappers who THINK they know it all , have seen it all and done it all , politically correct people ( don't get me started !) , fiddly finicky devices that could be far simpler , stronger, and more practical , computer gizmo's ,, i-pods , mobile phones , and well a LOT of modern hi tech stuff , that is as reliable as a Micky mouse watch , and basically i ask WHY do we need this rubbish ?? , sat nav , ohh i HATE sat nav , cant any one read maps these days ?? or remember routes ?? and those annoying voices , wheres my BIG hammer ??

so hi , and hope i can contribute something , want to know anything else , just ask , and please support disabled people and inventors , cancer research ( lost my wife to that ) and the less fortunate in life
